Eduardo Santos Queiroz, widely known as Du Queiroz, is a product of one of South America's most celebrated football academies, a midfielder whose journey has taken him from the streets of São Paulo through the elite stages of South American club football and into the competitive arena of Russian top-flight football.
Born on January 7, 2000, in São Paulo, Du Queiroz joined the youth academy of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista in 2013 at the age of just thirteen. The Corinthians youth setup, known for producing technically accomplished midfielders capable of both defensive discipline and forward contribution, proved an ideal environment for the young player to develop his understanding of the game.
The path to the first team was long, as it often is for academy graduates, but Du Queiroz eventually made his professional debut in the top tier of Brazilian football. On August 22, 2021, he came on as a first-half substitute when the starting right-back Fagner sustained an injury during a Série A fixture away against Athletico Paranaense. Corinthians won the match 1–0, and the young midfielder handled the emergency role well enough to leave an impression on the coaching staff. Recognizing his potential, the club moved to secure his long-term future: on October 14, 2021, Du Queiroz signed a contract extension running until December 2024.
The following domestic season brought his first professional goal in memorable circumstances. On May 17, 2022, competing in the Copa Libertadores, he opened the scoring in a 1–1 draw against Argentine giants Boca Juniors at the La Bombonera in Buenos Aires — one of the most atmospheric and demanding stadiums in world football. Scoring at that venue, against that opposition, in a continental competition, marked Du Queiroz as a player with composure beyond his years.
He went on to make 99 appearances for Corinthians, scoring three goals in total, before bidding farewell to the club on June 16, 2023. By that point, his next chapter had already been arranged. In January 2023, Du Queiroz had agreed to join Russian Premier League heavyweight Zenit Saint Petersburg on a five-year deal, with the transfer effective from the summer of 2023. The move was part of a wider transfer arrangement that sent Brazilian forward Yuri Alberto in the opposite direction to Corinthians.
His adaptation to Russian football proved difficult. On February 12, 2024, Du Queiroz reached an agreement to leave Zenit temporarily, joining Grêmio on loan until the end of 2024, with an option for the Brazilian club to purchase him permanently for six million euros. However, the arrangement did not run its full course: on December 3, 2024, Grêmio announced the early termination of the loan deal.
Looking for competitive football elsewhere in Brazil, Du Queiroz moved on February 26, 2025, to Sport Recife on a new loan for the 2025 season, again with an option to buy attached. That deal also did not lead to a permanent move. On August 19, 2025, Zenit further redirected the midfielder, loaning him to Orenburg in the Russian Premier League for the 2025–26 season.
Off the pitch, Du Queiroz maintains a family connection to the game he has grown up in: he is the cousin of Nycollas Queiroz, himself a professional footballer.
