Singrid Campion (born 27 July 1976) is a French entrepreneur and singer known for her involvement in the fairground industry and her musical career in Gypsy jazz. As the daughter of fairground industrialist Marcel Campion, she manages attractions at the Jardin des Tuileries and the Foire du Trône in Paris.
Singrid Campion was born on 27 July 1976 in a caravan located in the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. Her birth coincided with a heatwave while her father was hosting guests at the park's refreshment stand. She is the granddaughter of a street circus performer. Campion is a member of the French Traveller (gens du voyage) community.
Campion received what she describes as a "fairground education," where learning occurred within the community rather than through traditional academic institutions. This upbringing integrated business operations and music into daily life, with Gypsy jazz culture playing a central educational role.
Campion operates as an artisan fairground merchant ("artisan forain"). Her business activities include managing carousels and traveling attractions; a 2019 Mediapart investigation into her father's dealings described her and her brother Chriss as fairground operators running wooden-horse carousels, trampolines and souvenir kiosks. She is an associate in SCI Forever and has launched a CBD product retail line.
Musically, Campion performs in the jazz manouche style. Her album Paris mi amor (2018) includes songs such as "Paris défile" and "Un pour tous, tous forains," addressing fairground themes. She performed a "Paris Mi Amor" concert at L'Olympia on 13 April 2018, featuring her Johnny Hallyday tribute material. She has also performed at the Cirque d'Hiver and other venues in Paris.
In 2024, Campion created Gypsikids, a family music festival mixing Romani music with other styles, held on 5 June 2024 at the Wonderland open-air venue in Clichy in aid of the child-protection charity Innocence en Danger.
Campion advocates for the fairground community. She has publicly addressed municipal decisions affecting fairground sites in Paris, including removals at the Place de la Concorde and Champs-Élysées. Her media appearances and songs reflect the cultural concerns of fairground workers.
